1.) To browse on ebay, you do this by searching a particular keyword in the search box i.e football boots and eBay will find you all the football boots on offer.
BUT THAT'S NOT IT...
2.) You can narrow down your search in seconds. EBay allows you to select your shoe size, brand, whether it is new or used. You can search for buy it now prices or bidding. And one of my personal favorites, you cans search lowest/ highest price first, time ending soonest to grab to bargains or best match, to name a few.
3.) You can also set price limits on items by using the scrolling menus along the side of the auction pages to narrow down your search even further and ensure that you are not viewing pieces that are out of your budget range.
4.) I recommend you to discount any memorabilia that cannot be purchased through PayPal. This is not essential but it is the most secure way to protect yourself online.
5.) It is a good idea to read through any seller feedback before purchasing any sports memorabilia from eBay. This will help to make a decision as to whether the seller is reliable or not. In the majority of cases the feedback is positive as collectors are usually very good at letting other know if they have experienced any problems with a specific seller and warning others from using them in the future. Negative feedback can really damage a seller's chances of making a sale so it is important that they provide an excellent standard of delivery and interaction between themselves the buyer.
6.) Once you think you have found a reliable seller then you should be sure to conduct extensive research into any photos of the memorabilia to make sure that it is legitimate. You can compare it to other pieces on the internet to make sure that is authentic. By knowing your stuff you can avoid being ripped off. However if you do, if you have gone through Paypal then you will always get a full refund. You should also be wary with autographs and make sure you compare the photo to a photo of the real thing to ensure it is authentic.
7.) Make use of the "Buy It Now" feature on eBay as this will help you to jump ahead of other buyers and allows the user to buy an item at a set price without having to wait until the time limit has expired.
